Terms & Conditions
In order to meet our standard terms & conditions, all accounts must make the following declaration:
1. Authority to Obtain Information from the IRD
I give authority to Mytaxrefund.co.nz (My Tax Ltd) to link my IRD account to their Agency. I give authority for My Tax Ltd to act as my tax agent for the purpose of preparation of my tax returns until I notify them otherwise.
I understand that this gives My Tax Ltd the following authorities:
To obtain information from the IRD in regards to my tax types and returns by the following methods - telephone, info express, internet and E Services
If I already have a tax agent, the process of linking with My Tax Ltd will result in being delinked from my previous tax agent
To sign tax returns on my behalf
2. Disclaimer of Liability
Mytaxrefund.co.nz (My Tax Ltd) has not audited or reviewed the information that you have provided. We rely on the information submitted by yourself and supplied to us by the Inland Revenue Dept. Mytaxrefund.co.nz therefore does not accept responsibility or liability for the accuracy of the material from which your returns are prepared.
3. Fee Structure
I agree to the following:
No refund no fee as standard.
For standard Personal Tax Summaries no charge for refunds due for 2007,2008 or 2009 tax years. The 2010 and 2011 tax years are charged at 15% of the refund amount (min $20, max $200). A bank account must be supplied for payout - if one is not supplied a cheque will be issued and will incur a fee of $5.
If the 2011 tax year has already been processed, or in the 2010 or 2011 tax years you are a current Working for Families receipient, receive benefit income or studylink income only for the 2010 tax year, or have no income for the 2010 tax year - then the 15% fee will be charged on the most recent year processed only - any years prior to that will be free.
If you are an existing customer, the fee is set at 15% for the 2011 tax year (min $20, max $200).
In both cases, if an IR3 is required for any year (due to partial year returns or withholding payments) we have a minimum charge of $90 for that year or 15% of the refund amount up to a maximum of $200)
If you have applied since 1st April 2011, we will process your 2011 year as soon as your March details have been updated with the IRD (this should typically be early May). The fee is set at 15% for this year - the same conditions as those of an existing customer. The payment for the 2011 year will be released as soon as the IRD makes these available (currently stated as July - we will keep you informed
Should you delink us during the processing of your refund, an invoice will be issued for our fee based on the refund amount submitted.
4. Receipt and Payment of Tax Refunds
For tax refunds due to myself I authorise the following:
- For Mytaxrefund.co.nz (My Tax Ltd) to receive any refund on my behalf and deposit this into the My Tax Ltd Trust Ac by adding the My Tax Ltd Trust Ac to my IRD account.
- For My Tax Ltd to debit the fees as agreed to above from the gross refund, and pay the net balance out to the account holder. Either by direct credit or by cheque to the postal address supplied.
5. I.D. Verification
I agree that Mytaxrefund.co.nz (My Tax Ltd( has permission to verify my identity by receiving photo ID, using address verification or NZ Drivers License verification.
Privacy Act 1993
The information we obtain during this process is subject to confidentiality requirements over and above our obligations to you under the Privacy Act 1993. My Tax Ltd will not disclose that information to any other party without your consent, except as required by law.
