How I spent my refund....Daddy's Girl...

I received a $700 tax refund in February.  It couldn't have come at a better time.   We had three weddings to attend and were broke from Christmas.  Our little girl was growing out of her clothes way ahead of her age and the bills came in all at once.  We managed to buy Madison some new clothes, pay the power and phone bills, filled the car with gas and splashed out on a fabulous new haircut for me. 

Being at home on maternity leave has been a big learning curve in so many ways, budgeting being one!  The juggling of a household and baby in your arms is not easy, now looking to return to work in July.

The my tax refund team made it so easy to have a quick check to see whether I was entitled to a refund and get it paid out to me quickly.  I can't wait to see what I might be entitled to next year.

Hi Team, I thought I’d let you know that your help in getting my personal tax refund allowed us to buy some of the necessities required when expecting a baby girl. She is due to join us 2nd July, so you will be responsible for our little girl looking sweet in her new baby suits.

Hi Team,

My name is Dan Lewis & with my tax refund I bought myself a NRS revolution drytop for white water kayaking! 

I am a member of the University of Canterbury Canoe Club. During Easter this year we ran a trip called white water week in Murchusion, the kayaking hub of the South Island.

A dry top has latex seals at the neck and wrists, and seals against your spray deck. As the name suggests it keeps you completley dry! As I was helping with instructing on this trip, it made a huge difference having my dry top over a splash top, especially when you have to stay functional to look after others!
