Donation & Childcare Rebates

If you made  donations to a charity, or paid for childcare or a housekeeper (in certain situations), you can claim part of it back as a rebate.

Donations have to be of $5 or more and you must have a receipt (copy will do) in your name.  Simply forward this to us - check our Freespost address here we will check that it is an approved charity and get you your refund.

Donations has no current maximum other than that you must have paid tax greater than what you are claiming (up to a third of the donated amount).

Childcare Rebates are available if you (as a single parent) pay for childcare to go out to work, or if you and your partner both work.  Receipts must once again be provided - forward them to us and we will get these paid out for you.

Childcare can be claimed up to a maximum of a third of what you have paid for the year - the maximum amount able to be claimed is $310.

We can claim the above two rebates in prior years also!

We have our address at the bottom of the page to send through physical receipts (also on the contact us page).

Redundancy Tax Credits

If you have been made redundant after 1st December 2006 then you may be eligible for a redundancy tax credit.

The basics of this tax credit are - it is for the redundancy portion of any payout you receive to a maximum of 6% of the gross amount (capped at $3,600).  As with many of these types of credits there are some exclusions but in general terms if you have received a payment we should be able to get you 6% back, up to a maximum of $3,600.

In order for us to get this paid out for you you will need to send us your final payslip showing details of the redundancy and any correspondence that may surround your redundancy from your employer - sometimes a different word may be used other than redundancy - but as long as the nature is the same it should not cause too many problems.
